I do not know if it is planned, but maybe it would be possible to have the option to specify the date format used in importation?
To do that, creating a FormatSettings object based on what options the user selected should do the trick.

Yes, this is planned but for a future version

Hi!
Just found yours wonderfull programm and this new version is really almost perfect! I have tested it all the weekend and works lke a charm. I woull like to suggest 2 more options, forgive me is they allready exist somewhere in the options and I haven't found them...
I have a folder in my hard disc with a lot (about 300(!)) homemade videos of my family. What would be perfect is:
1. To be able to select the folder name as movie title in 'media files' import, as under the folder name they may be 2 or 3 movies with differnet title.
2. I have put in each folder I photo under the name "folder.jpg". Would be easy if the programm imports this photo as a cover for the "movie"?
Thanks in advance!

I would also like to see this added. Have an option to use picture located inside the movie folder. With either folder.jpg or moviename.jpg to be used as the cover.

Have you thought about an updater from inside AMC?

What do you mean by updater.
If you mean import movies from a lot of media files, you can already do in this version.

Probably meant an updater when a new version of AMC is released

In this case yes, you can install the updated version without unistall previous version.
But it is advisable to unistall previous version and install this new version to take advantage of changes for Windows Vista / 7.

I guess that he means some function to update the program from a menu in the program rather than having to download the new install.
It would be especially useful for scripts (the current system works fine but it is a little slow because running in the script engine) and translations.

I had a first look on previous beta last week and I like what I see. Nice work!
May I ask: Is this version still compiled using D7 or are you using newer version(s) ? I consider using it as new base for SGC some day too, once it is released as 'final' version (and if I ever find time to do that).

Still the same D7, with just two new components: I recompiled it quite quickly on my old install

If I export my Catalog to XML, with "Individual pages and pictures filename style" set to "Movie Title" in Preferences, it just gives the pictures the catalog number like _1.jpg.
If I save as XML, then with Picture Importation set to "Keep Original Name" it does the same thing and with it set to "Formatted Title" it crashes when it gets to "Battleship Potemkin" as the Translated Title field has ""Bronenosets Potyomkin" - Soviet Union (original title), "Potemkin" - USA (informal title), "The Armored Cruiser Potemkin" - USA (alternative title), "The Battleship Potemkin" - USA (video box title)" in it.

I will check that.
