@ Bad Joker,

OK, I hope FFJaro gonna write a script.

By the way that you're talking about forbidden stuff,
what about divX
I guess the way divX was developed was also not really legal, right? :)
At least I know some DVD forums where they kick you out when you're talking about divX movies.

However, meanwhile OFDb is really big, and not just a DB for guts & gore movie freaks. I still believe a script for OFDb would be a great addition for a great software like Ant Movie Catalog.

Cheers,
suchus

i know ofdb isn't only gore stuff, but it's not that detailed then imdb ;)

and i only collect divx dvd rips, so this movie information will be available on amazon.de up to 90% and also 100% on imdb :P

i know it isn't legal ;)

Really difficult to meet everyones needs, he? :D

However, OFDb is possibly not as detailed as imdb, but therefore the descriptions of the movies are in german.

Hi, I'm nearly completed with the ofdb script.
Values you can import at the moment:

  • Picture
    Original Title
    Translated Title
    Country
    Year
    Category
and I'm still writing....
Question:
In AMC there is only one Category for each movie. Eg. Action, Adventure
In ofdb there are sometimes more than one Category. Eg. Blade : Action, Horror
Should I add only the first Category given in ofdb , or should I add all Categories seperated by space or comma ?

For me you do what you like.
If one day it is possible to have several categories it is better to use a separator, such as "," or "/" to be able to make the conversion. But you can chose the separator that you want.
Personnaly I prefer to only have one category, but since it's not me that will use the script you should not follow my preference :D

@ FFJaro,

Man, that are really great news !!!! :D
With this script Ant Movie Catalog can't be beaten!

Will it be also possible to import the description, and the list of actors? Because these are almost the most importend information for me.

By the way, I'm using a comma as separator for the categories.

Thanx a lot FFJaro :grinking:

Hi, the script is nearly completed.
I must only handle some exceptions and add the rating thing.
I think in the evening or tomorrow I can release it.

Hi,

It's done.
Please download and try this script for OFDb.de
Download (right-click): http://www.mighty-force.de/digi/OFDb_(DE).ifs

And plz report all bugs you can find.
Perhaps you can edit this script to improve it.

This Script can import all information given by www.ofdb.de
Like:
  • Picture
    Original Title
    Translated Title
    Country
    Year
    Category
    Actors
    Director(s)
    Description
    Rating
    URL
Plz make a backup of your current database.
But I shouldn't have any bugs.

no i don't want to create templates for such websites

there are to less details and informations

write your own scripts or use the templates from amc
