It is very much appreciated that a good free program like this is continued to be supported.

Everyone I suppose has there own needs and requirements...

Can I propose some things I have asked regarding the original and current version. ( I have been using the program for a very short time)

It would be excellent to be able to add a new title while in GRID mode, also be able to add or amend details in GRID mode which it currently cannot do.

Is it possible to have more information exported to the Loans history.csv file.

For example I would like to also have in there
- Number of Discs
- Video Format
- Movie Type

Be able to generate reports on borrowed items directly within the program to include any information specified by me (like above question)

Have an option to use an alternative report program therefore been able to print, group anything. A program I though of using is Crystal Reports.

Is there a simple way to print categories.

For example, I want to produce various reports for various reasons, and on one I would like:

(Note I use media label for my Library number)
Have data like below

********* Comedy **********
Library No Title Year Actor
DVD0001 American Pie 1999 Billy A
DVD0002 American Pie 2 1999 Billy B
DVD0003 American Pie 3 1999 Billy C

********* Action **********
Library No Title Year Actor
DVD0004 American 1999 Billy A
DVD0005 American B 1999 Billy B
DVD0006 American C 1999 Billy C

********* Horror **********
Library No Title Year Actor
DVD0007 American D 1999 Billy E
DVD0008 American E 1999 Billy F
DVD0009 American F 1999 Billy G

The above grouping would apply to any report I want to do, either for me to add the artwork, other details relevant to the movie.

how about getting the rating into the movie list...either as a number or the stars...maybe use 5 stars so its not as wide. But have 10 as 5 stars and 9 as 4.5 stars etc...and add a new drop down menu called seen and choose either yes or no...and maybe also get this in the movie list, so you can easily see which movies you've seen or not

For the "seen" status there is also the checkboxes in movie list, on which you can filter using the search, or when exporting/printing the list.

oh yeah thats right, i kind of forget about the check boxes...was that the reason they were there in the first place...or was it just to select movies for export etc?

To select what to export, you can simply select multiples movies, i.e. with shift and/or ctrl when clicking.

Getting ready to download and try this out - sounds really good so far, especially with the ability to have multiple pictures.

I have one request/suggestion: Would it be possible to add a dedicated field for the MPAA rating? One with enough room to see (at least most of) the wording, like "Rated PG for fantasy action and brief suggestive material."

I currently use the Media Label field for this in AMC, but it would be really nice to have a field dedicated to it.

As I see, old download has been expired, so I uploaded last beta for people, who want to try it.

Whats new:

* Added possibility to show rating in ListView (can be enabled in Options).
* Some minor changes in Grid View Mode (you will see...)
* Thumbnails works for external pictures also.
* Various optimization and bug fixing.
* Changes in grouping. After the grouping movie can be in several groups. For example, if you will group on category value and your movie has category 'Action, Thriller', it will be in 2 groups - both 'Action' and 'Thriller'. Same for all fields with multiply choice possibility.

If you want to try it, download archive from link above and unpack to you AMC folder (or somewhere else).

Do Not Forget To Make Backups Of Original Files and Catalogs!

P.S. In next releases (working on):
* special features for movie awards and MPAA rating.
* redone grid mode.
* possibility to change interface (position and visibility of fields) on the fly, without editing files.

1. How can I add new Images to Catalog by Internet Script?
2. Can you add more easy method to add Images to Catalog (not like now: "Add one more"->"Select"). I think when I "Select" then program should "Add one more" automaticly. And for "Select" it should be by double-click.

but for the translation you just need to know the field name: it is done automatically, no need to add something in the program itself.

the beta5 is zipped up in a folder called beta4 but its working good so far...i really like the star ratings and its cool to be able to add more images for either covers or screenshots...very nice
if you have a movie with a rating of 4...the number 4 is a little hard to see inside the star

nice program with nice mods

but is it possible to add some additional fields that i am missing:
+ Date Seen - where i can add date when i saw the movie (Date Added i can use as buying date)
+ Where Seen - where i can add place where i first saw the movie (ie Cinema, Home, some TV Channel, etc)
+ (Price - pricing for bought DVD/CD)

maybe put it in the comments? i think those fields might not be interesting to very many and will take up space for different things

Movie Cat 4.0.5 saves changed value of "Media Label" field only when value of "Media Type" field changes too.

I think you forgot OnChange Action for "Media Label".
And I cannot Import data from Internet if I add more Images it send me message. "Access violation at address 00555B5E in module ...""
