I have an error while launching the script, 'A call to an OS function failed', what could be the cause?
I use AMC 4.2.3
Thank you in advance
Go in Help -> Version and check if you get these version numbers (4.2.3.3)

These are mine version numbers:

do you have this error only with iMDB script or also with other script?

Open AMC. Create a new catalog. Try another script (not iMDB), then save. Tell us if you get errors

Do you have enough space on your hdd?

Thank you MrObama2022, Antoine and all for your efforts all this time.

I've tried all scripts version 4 and 5 but the problem persist: just return empty page. I try other scripts i.e. Allocine it works just fine.
Am I missing something?

My AMC version is this:
MovieCatalog.exe : version 4.2.3.3 (19/05/2023 11:56:20)
AMCExchange.dll : version 1.9.0.2 (19/05/2023 11:56:10)
AMCReport.exe : version 1.9.0.1 (04/11/2017 05:44:38)
MediaInfo.dll : version 22.12 (22/12/2022 16:00:50)

Thanks

Many thanks for the new version, MrObama2022! I updated about a dozen very different movies and everything was retrieved as in the "old days" (read: perfectly) except for one type of actors credits.

movie URL: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071949/reference/

Actors credits are retrieved as

Hélène Loiselle ... Marie Boudreau","Self
Jean Lapointe ... Clermont Boudreau","Self
Guy Provost ... Jean-Marie Beauchemin","Self
Claude Gauthier ... Richard Lavoie","Self
Louise Forestier ... Claudette Dusseault","Self

instead of as

Hélène Loiselle ... Marie Boudreau / Self
Jean Lapointe ... Clermont Boudreau / Self
Guy Provost ... Jean-Marie Beauchemin / Self
Claude Gauthier ... Richard Lavoie / Self
Louise Forestier ... Claudette Dusseault / Self

It looks like your fix for the "segment" atribute in actors' credits in https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113101/reference/ is also applied to credits such as these.

Other movies with such actors credits:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0151857/reference/
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt32149801/reference/
and especially https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3872778/reference (along with every other Monty Python thing)

@saraddasi test the latest version, save this file in C:\ProgramData\Ant Movie Catalog\Scripts

Many thanks again, MrObama2022! I'm pleased to report that I have successfully updated 15 or so movies. The only odd thing I've noticed was with this movie:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046438/reference/

If I open the page in my browser, the credits look like this:

Chishû Ryû   Shukichi Hirayama
Chieko Higashiyama   Tomi Hirayama
Setsuko Hara   Noriko Hirayama
Haruko Sugimura   Shige Kaneko

But the script retrieves this:

Chishû Ryû ... Shukichi Hirayama
Chieko Higashiyama ... Tomi Hirayama
Setsuko Hara
Setsuko Hara ... Noriko Hirayama
Haruko Sugimura ... Shige Kaneko

Notice the reduntant listing of "Setsuko Hara" with no character name. I suspect, however, this is more down to IMDb's dodgy HTML than your script.

Other than this, everything worked a treat, including those lengthy Monty Python credits. Unless the above case is something you can easily fix, the script is good to go for me. :grinking:

For your reference, these are my script settings (plus RapidApi Key for Trivia and TranslatedTitle):

[Options]
ActorsLayout=4
AllActors=1
AspectRatio=0
Awards=0
BatchMode=0
CommentType=2
