Hello all - first post, apologies if this has been addressed before but I just couldn't find it!
Is there a way to import content from a CSV file into a specific field of existing movie entries? I have an Ant database with over 800 movies, and would like to import data into the "date watched" field from a CSV file (which contains the same 800+ movies, with the same numbering).
Any help will be very welcome!
Importing fields into existing entry
In File -> Import, when you select a CSV file and configure all options so it appears correctly in the preview, you have to define which column will be identified as key for matching existing movies.
Click on the column header that will be used as such, e.g. the number of the movie in your case, and select "Define as key field".
Then when you click "Import..." it will offer you the option to update only existing movies.
Note: To avoid any risk of modified data, I would then only assign the "number" and "date watched" columns, and leave all the others unassigned if they don't need to be updated.
