Such in der conf mal nach .php3 an der Stelle einfach .php5 mit dazu in die auflistung...

Mit ziemlicher Sicherheit werden .php5 files nicht mit PHP verarbeitet. Ist das dein eigener Host? Ein XAMPP? Oder ein kommerzieller Hoster?

In der Apache httpd.conf kann man einstellen, dass .php5 files auch verarbeitet werden sollen.

when removing line 45; it gave an error for line 44

I fear I don't quite get what you want to do... You want to change the navigation in the top frame? Which file do you want to replace?

For starters, you could add the Date column to the list and set default sorting on that column. This way the latest additions will always be shown first.

Is that what you want?

Sounds like a bad XML save. Could you please mail me the ziped XML to ormus7577@go.com? You can mail me in german btw.

It's probably the easiest way to just search for the string in the xml file. php should provide the functions (can't check right now...).

Just point the browser to the index.php5 file. If your webhost supports it, the page will open. The settings file is nearly unchanged from the php4 version and comments are in the file.

Actually you only need php5 support, as you can change the extension from .php5 to .php

It's your webspace. It doesn't recognize .php5 files as php.
option1: look for hosting that does recognize .php5
option2: make php recognize .php5 extension (in case you have the rights to do that)
option3: rename all .php5 files to .php. This includes replacing all ".php5' strings in the php files ...

Nice idea... I might do that once I finished my php5 template. I Should be able to re-use major parts. Plus one could include some move related news feed...

My SQL-version of AMCphp is also ready! Now I just make it more configurable and add some new features to this template...
I have rewritten almost all source code (became 2 times smaller with more features ;)), and will be very hard to keep it up-to-date with Ormus' releases. So I will develop it ...

Just wanted to let you know, that I've made good progress during the weekend. Xpath is very helpful for searching and filtering the xml. Can't judge the speed yet. Might be faster, might even be slower ... Though it should be by far less ressource consuming now, taking stress of the webserver. Gotta ...

Had to re-install my system (and upgrade some components) during my vacation, I've just re-installed php+apache yesterday. So I'll be working on it again now. I just wrote down some ideas. Let's see what actually makes it into AMCphp5...

btw. the php5 version is still worked on. Am just a little short on time currently, but I'll have three weeks of vacation starting next monday. That should be more than enough to finish it...

I've added the sort functionality to the lists, will post an updated version on the weekend so you can try it (it's possible to disable sort now, in case you want to take stress from your server). 500 movies on one page are sorted in a blink, but then that's on my offline development machine
